The Hudson Rooms demonstrates how F&B concept strategy, brand storytelling, operational planning, and interior architecture can transform a single 1,200 sqm rooftop floor plate into a highly layered hospitality destination.

Inspired by the glamour of 1920s New York travel culture, the venue combines restaurant dining, oyster and seafood culture, cocktail rituals, whisky and cigar appreciation, private lounges, and event-driven experiences within one coherent ecosystem.

One of the project’s greatest strengths lies in its exceptional flexibility. Despite the scale and complexity of the space, the venue was carefully structured into multiple interconnected environments that can operate collectively as one destination, or independently depending on the occasion, guest flow, event format, and commercial needs. This allows the venue to continuously evolve throughout the day and evening, maximizing activation, atmosphere, and revenue opportunities across different guest segments.

The design balances grandeur and intimacy through layered spatial sequencing, vaulted architectural forms inspired by Grand Central Terminal, Art Deco references, reflective materials, darker private lounges, and socially driven circulation. Each space carries its own identity while contributing to a unified guest journey.

The result is not simply a hotel rooftop venue, but a true destination within Hanoi — a vibrant social and dining address that successfully attracts both in-house guests and the local market, reinforcing Capella Hanoi’s positioning as one of the city’s leading luxury lifestyle destinations.
